Terry Bogard originally starred in the Fatal Fury franchise, a series of fighting games released in the ‘90s, but has also featured in the SNK vs. Capcom titles and made an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Now Capcom has confirmed Terry will be entering the fray of Street Fighter 6 this autumn. Terry will be available for all players who purchased the Year 2 Character Pass or the Ultimate Pass, but fans can also purchase him separately using Fighter Coins.
“Feasting for a new adventure, Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury will power his way to victory when he arrives in Street Fighter 6 this autumn,” reads the description of the teaser trailer, which sees the “Hungry Wolf” brawling in Pao Pao Cafe with other fighters lining up to take him on.
“Welcome to Street Fighter, Terry!” reads one comment on the above video, with another calling Terry the “king of fighters”.
“The first guest character in Street Fighter history and it’s fitting that it’s Terry Bogard,” said another fan, with Fatal Fury heavily inspired by the original Street Fighter arcade game.

However, other fans have issues with both Terry’s appearance, and the voice acting behind the character. “His design definitely does not translate the best to this lmao. He looks like a slightly more detailed avatar character. Still want to see how he actually looks in gameplay motion but yeah this teaser is definitely the least impressive of all Street Fighter 6 teasers,” said a fan on Reddit.
This might not be the last we see of Terry Bogard either, with talk of a SNK vs. Capcom revival and a confirmed Fatal Fury sequel.
In other news, 1047 Games has confirmed that beloved first-person indie shooter Splitgate will be getting a sequel.
