The Pretenders‘ frontwoman Chrissie Hynde has praised Taylor Swift after attending one of her ‘Eras’ tour shows.
Taking to her official Instagram, Hynde took a moment to reflect on being on the road with her band and her experience seeing the ‘Bejeweled’ singer take over the stage. “Hi All! It was great to get back on tour. We love the road,’ began her post.
She continued: “I saw Taylor Swift (you may have heard of her) in concert the other day. Just shows you what a girl with a guitar can do. Last time I loved a show that much was Aldous Harding. You remember me raving about it.
“So, if you haven’t already – go out there and get yourselves a guitar. You’ll never be alone again as long as you have it by your side. See y’all soon!”
Last week, Swift played a three-night run at London’s Wembley Stadium. The VIP tent was filled with familiar faces all three nights and saw the likes of Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlin, supermodel Cara Delevigne and Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness, Salma Hayek, Rob Beckett and Mike and Zara Tindall. The Tindalls weren’t the only royal attendees at the ‘Eras’ tour, as Prince William could be seen in a box dancing to ‘Shake It Off’, alongside Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Swift is booked for another three-night run at the weekend at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium (June 28-30), before heading to Amsterdam the following week (July 4-6).
She’ll then make a two-night stop in Zurich, Switzerland, before touring Italy, Germany, Poland and Austria.
She’s then set to return to London to close the European leg of the ‘Eras’ tour, before heading to Canada, where she’ll be supported by Gracie Abrams.
In other news, The Pretenders are set to return to the UK in October. They are also set to open for Foo Fighters on select dates of their ‘Everything Or Nothing’ US tour.
