Paul Weller has announced his first North American tour in seven years – see all details below.

The Modfather has unveiled his return to the continent in support of his upcoming album ’66’, set for release on the day before his 66th birthday (May 24). It will be his first tour in North America in seven years.

Weller’s tour will kick off in September, where he will play a show in Red Bank, New Jersey on the 6th. From there, he will journey through Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle and more, before rounding it off at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre on the 27th.

Weller’s upcoming album ’66’, which was announced last February, will reportedly feature contributions from musicians including Madness frontman SuggsBobby Gillespie and Noel Gallagher.

The singer previewed the album with the release of ‘Soul Wandering’, which featured the lyrics: “Soul wandering/ Still searching/ And I want to believe/ In something greater than me/ And I’m humbled by the majesty of the sea/ And the stars and your love.”

The album has also been teased to explore themes of “faith, changing circumstances and the fractured realities of life in this turbulent age”, but at its core, boast a message of positivity and wisdom.

In other Paul Weller news, earlier this year the rock veteran made headlines for both sharing his thoughts that younger artists don’t release enough music, and calling out those who see him as a heritage act.
