‘Fallout: London’ might be finished very soon

The player-made mod was delayed earlier this year due to a surprise next-gen update to ‘Fallout 4’

The team behind the Fallout: London expansion have told fans that the mod could be released very soon.

Fallout: London is a massive, player-made mod that will allow players to explore a post-apocalyptic London in Fallout 4. It was due for release April 23, 2024, but after Bethesda confirmed their long-awaited next-gen update would be launching a couple of days later it was delayed.

“The past four years of work stands to simply break,” explained project lead Dean Carter in a video update confirming the delay. “This really, really hurts us.” Speaking about the surprise release of the Fallout 4 update, Carter told the BBC that Bethesda had “screwed over” the team of volunteers that were working on Fallout: London.

In a new update, the Fallout: London team say the “end is in sight”.

“There has been a lot of speculation regarding our upcoming release, and we wanted to open up and clear the air for our core supporters,” the Fallout: London team said on social media. They went on to explain that they’ve sent several builds over to the GOG platform for quality assurance testing and are “waiting for the final green light.”

“Once they’ve completed the process of double-checking that Fallout: London and its installer work on all supported machines, we should be good to go,” the statement continued. “While it may seem like not a lot is going on, we can assure you that the heads of the department have been working non-stop behind the scenes during this time to make the release build as good as it can be.”
