Armie Hammer addresses cannibalism allegations in new interview with Piers Morgan

"It's not a question I thought I'd have to answer"

Armie Hammer will address allegations he is a cannibal in a new interview with Piers Morgan.

The Call Me By Your Name star made headlines in 2021 after messages he allegedly sent detailed graphic sexual desires and cannibalistic fetishes. He was also accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women, which he strongly denies.

In a yet-to-air interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Hammer is asked by Morgan whether he has ever eaten human flesh, while also being questioned about the messages that came to light in 2021.

In a teaser for the interview, Morgan asks the actor: “Are you a cannibal?” to which Hammer replies: “You know what you have to do to be a cannibal?”

Morgan then asks Hammer directly whether he’s ever eaten human flesh. “It’s not a question I thought I’d have to answer,” the actor says in response.

One message allegedly sent by Hammer to a former girlfriend reads: “You just live to obey and be my slave. I will own you. That’s my soul. My brain. My spirit. My body. Would you come and be my property till you die? If I wanted to cut off one of your toes and keep it with me in my pocket so I always had a piece of you in my possession?”

Addressing the message, Hammer tells Morgan: “This was a very intense [affair]… very sexually-charged, between two people … Different people have different sexual fantasies.”

He added: “But I don’t think that’s any different than when someone looks at a baby and goes, ‘Oh my God, look at those cute little fat legs, I just want to eat you up.’”

Of the wider allegations of abuse, he claimed: “None of those people were hurt or upset because I pushed any sexual boundaries.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Hammer admitted that he “scraped” his initials into his ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze’s groin with the tip of a knife during their four-month relationship.

However, the star stressed that he didn’t “brand” her, as she had previously alleged, and that “there wasn’t even blood”.

“There was a scenario that we talked about beforehand, that we had discussed where, you know, I would basically take a little, tiny point and just kind of trace the letter ‘A’ – just like the tip of a small knife.”

He added: “I mean, there wasn’t even blood in the situation. It was more like a scrape… It’s along the lines of couples getting their own initials tattooed on each other.”

When Morgan suggested that using a knife was “a bit different to a tattoo”, Hammer replied that it “was less permanent. I guarantee it was such a small thing.”

After Morgan said he was “shocked” by Hammer’s admission, the actor replied: “Yes, I think to some it probably sounds really strange. To some, it probably sounds like a very romantic gesture.”

Last year, Hammer addressed claims of sexual misconduct from two women, Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze, denying any criminal wrongdoing but admitting he “one million per cent” emotionally abused them. During the 2023 interview, Hammer also said he attempted suicide in 2021 in the wake of the allegations, while also revealing he was sexually abused aged 13.
